Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned players who are contemplating on leaving the Emirates as speculation thickens over the future of a few faces at the club.
The Gunners are at the risk of losing a couple of players at the end of the current season, with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil both tipped to leave the club in the near future after failing to pen new deals with the North London.
The likes of Kieran Gibbs, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and Gabriel Paulista all left the club during the last summer transfer window in what looked like a summer clear out at the Emirates.
Ahead of Arsenal’s clash against West Brom on Monday night, Arsene Wenger has cautioned players looking to leave the club in a bid to improve on their careers, while speaking in relation to Gibbs’ decision to leave the Emirates in favour of a move to the Hawthorns.
The Frenchman revealed that the defender was allowed to leave last summer due to his fitness worries that saw him miss many matches, while he jested that the Englishman will have to do more of defending with the Baggies since they focus more on defending rather than attack.
