Liverpool are considering offloading Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona next January transfer window, according to reports.
The Reds rejected Barcelona’s approach for the Brazilian during the summer window, despite reports that the attacker was also open to a move to the Camp Nou.
Liverpool remained adamant that Coutinho will not be leaving Anfield even after the player handed in a transfer request as the Catalan giants were pushing for the deal.
The diminutive playmaker has now returned to his usual impressive form with the Reds, scoring a goal and providing an assist in their 3-2 victory over Leicester City last Saturday, raising the hopes of fans about the Brazilian’s future with the club.
However, reports in Spanish outlet, Sport have it that Coutinho is still keen on joining Barcelona and could fancy a move to the Camp Nou next January transfer window.
The report also claim that the player’s representatives has held meeting with Liverpool owners, FSG over their decision to allow the Brazilian move to Barcelona in the winter window.
Liverpool were linked with a move for former Borussia Dortmund winger, Ousmane Dembele who eventually joined Barca with reports that the Catalan giants are still considering a move Coutinho who could slot in an advanced midfield role.
