Manchester United have been put on transfer alert with talks that Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes is considering a move away from the Camp Nou, according to reports.
The midfielder has been tipped to move away from the Spanish giants due to his lack of chances under Ernesto Valverde and was even a subject of transfer interest from a host of clubs in Europe, with reports that Juventus were also looking at the prospects of signing him during the last summer transfer window.
Reports in Spanish outlet Don Balon have now claimed that Gomes is seriously considering a move away from Barcelona next January transfer window, after falling under the pecking order at the club.
The report also claim that the Portuguese has told his agent, Jorge Mendes to look at the available options as he wants to leave the Camp Nou in order to feature in his country’s World Cup plans at the Russia 2018 tournament.
Prior reports have it that United boss Jose Mourinho signaled interest in signing Andre Gomes during the last summer while he was searching for options in his midfield before he eventually signed Nemanja Matic from his former side, Chelsea.
However, it is understood that the player’s representatives have informed interested parties that Gomes will be available during the January transfer window.
