Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has lamented his side’s chances despite their 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
The Red Devils strolled past their Russian opponents in their second game in the group stage of the Champions League but Mourinho has vented his frustrations at their congested fixtures as they prepare to play Crystal Palace next Saturday meanwhile Liverpool will have a long rest before coming up against Newscastle on Sunday afternoon.
After their victory against CSKA on Wednesday night, Mourinho highlighted his side’s chances on the night while he also talked about the home team’s fortunes on the night, before going on to bemoan United’s congested fixture list where they have to play Wednesday and Saturday while Liverpool are ‘luckier’, having played their game on Tuesday and their next game will be on Sunday afternoon, which gives them an edge over them in title race.
It is understood that the United boss is privately criticised the Premier League scheduling, due to the fact that his side has only 72 hours to rest before they face Crystal Palace at the Old Trafford.
The Portuguese boss has come out on several occasions to lament the fixture scheduling in the Premier League, especially during the last season when his side had to travel to the far eastern European region to play matches while also keeping up with their rivals in the league.
