Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted that Manchester City attacker Kevin De Bruyne is a ‘complete player’ following their 1-0 defeat to the Etihad-side.
The Blues suffered a dismal defeat in the hands of the league-leaders at Stamford Bridge thanks to a stunning goal from former Chelsea attacker, Kevin De Bruyne and Conte believes his side lost a ‘complete player’ in the Belgian.
Former Blues boss Jose Mourinho sold the midfielder off to the German Bundesliga side, Wolfsburg where he flourished into one of the best players in top flight division with his impressive displays that endeared many sides to him before he completed a £55 million move to Manchester City, forming a fulcrum of their attacking prowess.
Speaking of Chelsea’s decision to allow De Bruyne leave following their defeat to City last Saturday, Antonio Conte said: ‘I don’t know, honestly, what happened in the past. ‘But for sure we are talking about a top player, the complete player. ‘He’s good. Technical, fast, and he works hard for his team. He is the complete player.’
The Italian boss will hope his boys bounce back from their loss when they face misfiring Crystal Palace after the international break on October 14, 2017 while Guardiola can only hope his side continue with their emphatic form.
