Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes the partnership between Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette will improve as they continue to play alongside each other.
The pair were part of the Gunners side that recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, but could not score on the day, missing few chances to increase their side’s goal tally on the Premier League table.
After the game, Wenger had earlier come out to reveal his frustration at his side not scoring enough goals in the contest while complaining at their slow approach to the game that saw goals from Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi rescue three points against the newcomers.
Speaking about the duo of Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette, Wenger said: ‘I feel that they combine well together and overall it’s a promising combination,’
The French boss went to insist that there are ‘some goals’ between the pair, reiterating his belief that the attacking pair has some more goals in between if they get to play more often.
Wenger further said both players need the right ‘attitude’ to deliver goals for Arsenal this season as they hope to build on their recent success in the Premier League and Europe.
