Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed one negative from their 2-1 win over Everton on Wednesday night in the League Cup.
The Blues did well to see off a strong opposition from the Toffees despite conceding a late equaliser from Dominic Calvert-Lewin which obviously angered Conte.
Speaking after the game at Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea boss said he was impressed with his side’s performance on the night but insisted that conceding a late goal was not palatable while stressing that they lost concentration towards the end of the game.
The Italian then went on to reveal that his side will have to fight as they compete in the fifth round of the League Cup.
The Premier League champions also fielded some fringe players with the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Christensen, Kenedy and Charly Musonda all starting the game. Speaking about on the subject, Conte said it could be risky but important if they want to develop the youth team at the Bridge.
Chelsea had to come back from a losing position against Watford last Sunday, as Michy Batshuayi did well to give the Blues a hard-fought 4-2 victory over the Hornets following an early scare from their London rivals.
The Blues will hope to prove their mettle once more when they come up against Bournemouth next Saturday at the Vitality stadium.
