Manchester United are prepared to offer Juan Mata in a stunning swap deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been a subject of interest from several clubs in Europe since he broke into limelight in the last 18 months, helping the La Liga giants to a number of victories, with reports that the Spaniard who grew up in Real Madrid academy fancy a move to Premier League until he signed a new nine-year deal that will keep at the Vicente Calderon till 2026.
Chelsea were believed to be eyeing a massive 71 million pounds for the Saul Niguez as Antonio Conte prepares to bring in more reinforcements to his squad next January.
Reports in Spanish publication, Don Balon claim that Manchester United are also eyeing a move for Niguez and will even include one of Ander Herrera and Juan Mata in a potential deal.
It is also understood that United boss Jose Mourinho also share the same view with Conte on the abilities of Niguez who has been a pivotal figure at Vicente Calderon.
The report also claim that Mourinho has tried to convince Diego Simeone about selling Niguez, but the Argentine has refused to allow one of his prized assets leave.
