Jose Mourinho Eyeing Audacious January Move For World Class Player

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is plotting a move for Paris Saint Germain defender Thomas Meunier ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Belgian has been largely unsettled in Paris since the arrival of Dani Alves, who has been the preferred choice for the right full back position.

Reports in The Express claim that United are considering a move for Meunier during the next Winter transfer window, after tracking the defender’s progress and Mourinho will gladly sanction a deal worth 30 million pounds for the defender.

Mourinho is said to be looking at options at the right-back position in order to provide cover for Antonio Valencia, who has been impressive at the positions but he is already gone past the 30 years old mark.

The Belgian is believed to be keen on getting chances elsewhere after been subjected to a reduced role at Paris Saint Germain this season, with reports that he wants to gain more appearances ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Red Devils were poised to sign Ivorian defender Serge Aurier during the last summer transfer window, but former Paris Saint Germain defender decided to join Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur instead in order to get more game-time.

Why this goal poacher must replace the botch legs of Giroud and Morata.

Despite notching five consecutive victories and a single draw this season, Spanish forward Alvaro Morata had a diminutive share of contribution to the success of the Blues which perhaps could twist his focus to the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is not tentative with his top 9 choice in comparison between World Cup winner, Olivier Giroud and Morata.

The two times Champions league winner started earlier above Giroud in Sarri’s pecking order but was left on the bench in a plausible 4:1 victory against Cardiff City last week.

While Morata’s stay is doubtful, Chelsea would consider making a swoop for Inter Milan’s goal poacher Mauro Icardi who

Why Icardi?

The talismanic figure of the Seria A elite has seen his team to the champions league, stamping his trust by manager Sampaoli who made the 25-year-old club captain.

He endured a wonderful spell last season with his teammates when he added 29 goals to his tally. Inclusively, the Argentine forward was the major contributor in the champions league 2:1 victory against Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs.

Beyond being a prolific striker, the leather finisher has a Premier League character that best suits Sarri’s football.

If Chelsea decide to comb for a hitman, then they should consider a long-term target in Icardi, perhaps it will be noteworthy to break the bank to get his signature which is around £85.5 million.

Chelsea fans, do you think it will be awesome to add the Argentine to end Chelsea’s smirch in front of goal?

Jose Mourinho

Playing in front of their former manager Alex Ferguson — who is making his return to Old Trafford for the first time after his emergency brain surgery, José Mourinho expects his men to put up a fine display against Jorge Mendes team yesterday afternoon.

That wasn’t the case for Mourinho as his players were wasteful and uninspiring throughout the game, much to the displeasure of the Portuguese manager.

Speaking after the game, Mourinho blamed his attacking players — Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard –for the draw. According to him, the team lacked creativity in the final half of the pitch.

Mourinho was furious with his players for not being able to take their chances which could have earned them the maximum points even before the halftime break.

The former Real Madrid manager also questioned his team’s hunger for victory during the game. He admitted that his players were performing as if nothing was at stake.

Unlike the Red Devils players, Wolves didn’t create many chances during the game but they were determined to get an equalizing goal which they achieved in the second half of the game.

On Wolves’ performance, Mourinho admits Mendes’ men played like their whole lives depend on the game. He commended his former backroom staff Jorge Mendes for imposing such hunger and discipline into the Wolves team.

Alexis Sanchez, who has been poor for the Red Devils this season, was pulled out of the encounter in the 63rd minute following an anonymous display from the Chilean.

Santi Cazorla: lack of confidence prevented Wenger from winning many Premier League titles

Santi Cazorla

Arsenal legend Santi Cazorla, who plays for Villarreal after returning from his long-term injury, has revealed the reason behind Arsene Wenger’s inability to win many Premier League trophies during his 23-year spell at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Arsenal manager stayed 13 years without winning England’s most precious trophy before he parted ways with the team last season.

The last time Wenger lay hold on the English trophy was in 2004-05 season when he led his players to an unbeaten run to the title. Since then, the Gunners have always settled for a place in the top-four teams.

In his reaction to what was responsible for Wenger’s trophy drought, the 33-year-old midfielder told football Focus that the team lacked self-confidence.

According to the Spaniard, Wenger is a great coach but he didn’t believe in himself neither does he charge his players to trust in their ability to compete with top Premier League clubs for the title.

“To believe that we were capable of competing with the big sides in the Premier League and not just settling for third or fourth.” he said.

Having said that, Cazorla further calls on the Gunners faithful to be patient with Unai Emery’s team. He charged them to support the former Sevilla boss because he has all it takes to lead the team to greatness.

“But everyone really does have to be patient,” he said.

During his six years at the Emirates Stadium, Cazorla helped the Gunners to two FA Cup glories having played more than 200 matches with the team.

Manchester United were hoping to record a four-match winning streak against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night at Old Trafford but they failed to achieve their aim as they ended the game in a stalemate.

Manchester United started the game in fine form as they took the lead in the 19th minute when Fred fired the ball to the far bottom corner, after a beautiful lofty pass from Paul Pogba.

However, the Red Devils missed many goalscoring chances to double their lead in the first half of the encounter.

Belgian star Romelu Lukaku, who scored against Cardiff in their last Premier League fixture, was a culprit of many missed chances as the former Everton was unconvincing throughout the encounter.

The Red Devils, who were playing in front of their former manager Alex Ferguson, were punished by Wolves in the 59th minute when the visitor scored a brilliant goal to bring the scoreline to 1-1.

Having seen their club earned a point in a game they could have gotten maximum points, United faithful took to Twitter to show their frustration over Lukaku’s performance during the game.

A fan, who is known as BABA DUDU, claimed that the Belgian is a flop and he couldn’t believe Mourinho spent much on his signature last season.

Another fan was disappointed with Sanchez and Lukaku’s display, calling them the most expensive flops of all time.

According to Ben, Mourinho needs to bench the former Chelsea star, even if it’s for one match.
