Chelsea have reportedly turned down an offer for young defender Andreas Christensen from Italian Serie A giant Inter Milan, as per Italian transfer gossip outlet Calcio Mercato.
The publication claim that Inter made two solid offers for the young defender back in June when he had only returned from a two-year year-long loan stint at German Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte shut down the offers and was surely impressed by the Danish starlet’s progress during preseason training tour, and he allegedly blocked even loan offers from other top clubs.
Andres Christensen has fully established himself as a solid and reliable rotation option for the Blues defence, filling in for Brazil international defender David Luiz on a regular basis already, and there’s no opportunity that this third offer – for a winter switch – was ever going to materialize. Top transfer site Transfermarkt have the classy center back valued at only €18million but it might take three times that figure to prise the 21-year old away from Stamford Bridge in the current market situation.
The strong defender has impressed all football lovers in his few match minutes this League season with his calm display at the back and reliable passes from behind.
