Club legend sends message to Chelsea Superstar on his World class quest

/

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has warned Eden Hazard that he needs to net 30 goals a season to be truly considered world class.

The Belgium international forward returned from an ankle injury in late September to help his club get their English Premier League back on track.

Eden Hazard scored the Blues winner in a 1-0 win over AFC Bournemouth last weekend thanks to a sensational low finish past Asmir Begovic.

However, the Chelsea forward was powerless to prevent the Blues from losing 3-0 to Serie A side AS Roma in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.

Eden Hazard scored 14 goals in 38 matches in Chelsea’s title-winning League season under Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho back in 2014-15 to be handed the PFA player of the year award.

Hazard scored 16 goals last season to help Italian Antonio Conte lift the English Premier League trophy in his first Premier League season in charge.

However, Blues record goal-scorer Frank Lampard said on BT Sports he wants Eden Hazard to net 30 plus goals a season to challenge Barcelona Superstar Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Belgian moved to Chelsea ahead of rivals Manchester City and Manchester United in a move from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012.

The Belgian has won two English Premier League titles during his five-year stay at the Bridge.

The Blues will welcome Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League this weekend.
