According to new reports, Manchester United star player Paul Pogba is likely to return to first-team action this weekend when his side clash with premier league champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman is said to be stepping up his recovery in training and is in line to make a return this weekend.
Pogba has not played for Man United since picking a hamstring injury during a Champions League game against Basel in September.
He has now missed 10 further fixtures across all competitions but is now ready to return back to full action.
The Sun made it known that the France international is looking ‘good and sharp’ in training and has impressed the Manchester United’s fitness staff.
Howeve, despite the report adding that Paul could be back for his side in the trip to Stamford Bridge, United manager Mourinho is unlikely to rush the midfielder just like that, but will want to ease him back into the starting XI bit by bit.
If the reports are anything to go by and the former Juventus player is truly back to full fitness, the best he could get against Chelsea on Sunday is a start from the bench.
Even if he couldn’t feature in the Chelsea game, Paul’s return will be a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho who have been without the likes of Michael Carrick, Mauroune Fellaini and Ander Herrera in midfield.
