Antonio Conte has praised playmaker Eden Hazard for his blistering display for the Blues in their 1-0 win over Premier League rivals Manchester United at the Bridge last weekend.

The Belgium international playmaker played for 90 minutes for Chelsea as he inspired Antonio Conte’s team to an impressive victory over Jose Mourinho’s side.

Eden Hazard did not score but put in a brilliant performance as he helped Conte’s team claim the maximum three points.

Spain international forward Alvaro Morata ended up netting the solitary goal of the match when he scored in the 55th moment with a brilliant header.

Hazard, 26, found himself closely marked by United players at Stamford Bridge and Antonio Conte says he was happy by his contribution to the game.

Conte told Sky Sports after the match: “[Eden Hazard] Hazard played a good game with the ball [on his feet] and without the ball [on his feet]. He [Eden Hazard] made a lot of [good] runs.

“We [Chelsea] must be pleased with our commitment.”

The forward will be expecting to play for the Blues when they return to English Premier League duty after the upcoming break with an away tie against West Brom after the FIFA break on 18 November.

The Belgian has netted three goals and provided two goals in all competitions for the Premier League Champions so far this campaign.

Sunday’s victory left Conte’s team in fourth spot in the League log and nine points behind runaway leaders Man City after 11 matches of the new season.
