Chelsea Fc boss Antonio Conte is said to be prepared to welcome back Brazil international defender David Luiz to first-team training on Wednesday after a two-day off for the solid center back.
Former Paris Saint Germain defender David Luiz was dropped by the Italian Tactician for Chelsea’s home match against Premier League rivals Manchester United, replaced by young talent Andreas Christensen whose display on the day helped the Premier League Champions to an important win over one of their main League title rivals.
The exclusion was believed to be as a result of the center half’s questioning of Antonio Conte’s tactical input in training and what the British publication Metro Sport cited by the Guardian as saying, a drop in form.
Luiz was not called by his National team for their international matches and would remain with the few players who was not called-up by their various national teams. This means the Brazilian will stay back and train at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground with Antonio Conte, as he attempts to win a starting shirt once again at Stamford Bridge.
The former Juventus manager said after the victory over Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United that David Luiz was only dropped for tactical reasons and it seems as though he will return to training later on Wednesday.
