Chilean international Alexis Sanchez is hours away from being confirmed as a Manchester United player. So it must have been worrying for many of the club’s fans when the 29-year old was spotted in Liverpool.
The story is the Arsenal star went to the Liverpool immigration office to update his work permit as this is reportedly the only reason his unveiling as a united player has been delayed.
As a matter of fact he was according to the reports just a few minutes away from bumping into Henrikh Mkhitaryan who was also at the office to update his work permit ahead of the deal which sees him go to Arsenal in a swap deal.
Both players have gone through medicals at the training bases of their prospective clubs and the work permit is the only document that needed sorting out.
A lot has been said regarding this piece of transfer business but both clubs need to be commended for how well they have handled the situation so far, as swap deals have become increasingly difficult in the world of football in recent times.
So both players are expected to be unveiled in the coming hours with Alexis Sanchez believed to set to earn about £400,000 a week at Old Trafford with Mkhitaryan also receiving a pay rise at Arsenal.
The Gunners however are also believed to be close to signing Dortmund’s prolific striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
