Antonio Conte admitted he wanted this Man United star at Chelsea

Antonio Conte has reportedly declared his love for Alexis Sanchez claiming that he would have loved to have him at the Stamford Bridge stadium. The Italian manager who was captured whispering into the player’s ear by after his team’s goalless draw against Arsenal last year told Newsmen that he respected the chilean’s personality and his work rate during matches.

According to Daily Mirror, Conte told Chelsea boards of directors to make sure they beat Mourinho to the player’s signature in the just-concluded January transfer window. Despite his plea, the board failed to sign the physical-imposing player as United acquire his signature before them.

Manchester United were smart while negotiating with Arsenal as they attracted the Gunners board of directors with a player-plus-cash deal which saw Armenia striker Henrikh Mkhitaryan joins the North London club as part of the swap deal.

Conte is reportedly under much pressure to save his Chelsea’s job and will now turn to another Gunners player—who joined the Blues in the deadline day—for goals.

Olivier Giroud who is in need of much first-team action in order to convince his national team coach that he deserves a place in his World Cup squad switched from the North London club to the West London when he completed his £18million move to Stamford Bridge.

Morata who is Chelsea’s highest goalscorer has lost his form after he returned from injury but with the acquisition of the Frenchman, the Spaniard will no longer shoulder  Chelsea’s goalscoring burden alone.

The former Arsenal player could make his  debut for the Blues on Monday when they battle Watford at the Vicarage Road.

Abramovich could break the bank to sign PSG’s target

The Polish international Piotr Sebastian Zieliński who was nicknamed “Pablo Nedved” by Naples fans, spearheaded his team to victory against AC Milan and as well played a pivot role in Carlo Ancelotti’s style.

Chelsea’s new boss, Maurizio Sarri showed interest in the Polish international after his impressive performance in the Seria A. Although, Napoli’s chairman already cut-off the relationship with Sarri after joining Chelsea and taking Jorginho alongside.

Sebastian Zieliński has appeared as the potential replacement for Slovakian and Naple’s captain Marek Hamsik.

The French top elite, Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in him after losing Thiago Motta and Giovani Lo Celso last summer. Thomas Tuchel is combing for Blaise Matuidi’s replacement who left two seasons ago under then manager, Unai Emery.

Many wonders why Chelsea’s manager is after the midfield maestro because he was always on the reserved role last season.

It was also reported that Zielinski has been linked with rivals Liverpool making the market competitive for the Blues.

With information already looming around that Zielinski could sign a new deal that will see his buyout clause range from €100-€120 million which is worth a deal for someone who just started playing with the first XI.
Abramovich will need to battle with PSG’s billionaires to bring the indefatigable player to London.

Gary Cahill, set to leave Chelsea in January

Gary Cahill

Former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill who turns 33 in December is worried about not having playing time under his new manager after retiring from international duty to focus more with his club.

Cahill was the joint force of Antonio Conte’s 3:4:3 formation but has fallen far below Maurizio Sarri’s pecking order in the defensive line.
The former England defender has made his intention known to the club after failing to be tested by Sarri in the Europa cup competition on Thursday, while he thinks the manager has made his services and contribution latent.

The 32-year-old defender said in an interview about his decision to leave in January:

“I don’t want to jump the gun, but as things stand at this time, probably, yes (I’ll have to leave in January). Said Cahill.

The 2012 champions league winner still believes he has a chance to play under other club managers with a link from Europe waiting to establish their defense with him.

A case scenario occurred when Jose Mourinho picked Thibaut Courtois ahead of Peter Cech, so this could be a cliche to his understanding as he would want to leave come January.

“Obviously the most important thing is the club. But I have to look at my situation. I have to take charge of my own future”.

Knowing fully well that his contract would expire next season, Cahill only appeared once on the bench and that was on Thursday but he did not feature to show his qualities which makes him uncomfortable settling with the football club.

Albeit, his absence has not proven any reason why he should be included in the team because the Blues have won 6 consecutive matches since the start of the season.

EPL match day 6: Predictions and Analysis

premier league

So last week we add predictions right with 3 correct scores. Let’s see what we have for matchday 5

Saturday
12:30 Fulham vs Watford

Watford would want to come back from the defeat against United when they face Fulham but with the way Fulham plays their possessive football, there is no sign of losing this. I think there will be goals.

Predictions: Both Teams will score
Probable score: 2:2

15:00 Burnley vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth have started well under Howe which is why the manager is the long-term serving boss since coming from the Championship.
They really know how to stay compact and ready for the counter. I still think Burnley will lose this game because they don’t seem to have that cohesion as they did last season.

Prediction: Away Win
Probable score: 1:3

15:00 Cardiff City vs Man City
There is no doubt City side will win this to make amends from the howler of Wednesday’s demolition from Lyon. I feel for Warnock here but surely, a win for Pep Guardiola.

Prediction: Away win and Over 2.5 goals.
Probable score: 1:4

15:00 Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
The Eagles have shown how difficult they are to beat when their star player Wilfred Zaha is in-form. Rafael Benitez’s men always appear so hard to beat as well so a draw will be fine here.

Prediction: Draw
Probable score: 1:1

15:00 Leicester City vs Huddersfield
No way will Leicester lose this after the mayhem last week against the Cherries.
Playing against a team who look like would not escape relegation will see them get the much needed three points.

Prediction: Home Win
Probable score: 2:1

15:00 Liverpool vs Southampton
I think this would be a very easy win for the Meyerside and I don’t see Southampton stopping them from getting the first goal in the first half. The Reds are just too good this season.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

15:00 Manchester United vs Wolverhampton
Mourinho got his grip since he lost recklessly to Tottenham. He’s answered his fans with great wins so far. Albeit Nuno will never settle for a team to have them play behind the ball. They are very direct so I expect United to get a win with their conservative football.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

17:30 Brighton vs Tottenham
Pochettino’s men are really struggling but do I think they will struggle against Brighton who won them last season? No. They have to come out and play like what they are known for.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 1:2

Sunday
13:30 West Ham vs Chelsea

A derby day and a delight to watch. We saw how West Ham parked the bus last season to get a 1:0 Win here but this season they may pay for it if they do so under Sarri’s style of football. A win will do for the league leaders.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 0:2

16:00 Arsenal vs Everton
Arsenal has been impressive so far but are yet to keep clean sheets while Everton’s Richarlison will come back from suspension. Both clubs are yet to keep Clean sheet, it will not be different when they play.

Prediction: Both teams will score
Probable odd: 2:2

Sarri: “I think they (West Ham) are very good”- Chelsea dread derby day.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri claimed he is dumbfounded Manuel Pellegrini is having a tough start to the season.

The former Manchester City coach who had titles in his curriculum had struggled in his return to the English Premier League.

However, Sarri had enjoyed a good spell in England which sees him as one of the only two clubs who is yet to taste both draw and defeat in the EPL.

The 59-year-old boss spoke in the pre-match conference that he was shocked West Ham had a blunt start to the season under a top-flight manager.

“I have seen the five matches of West Ham in the Premier League. I think they are a very good team. I think the position in the table of West Ham is not reality.”

However, Pellegrini had a birthday to recall when he got off the mark with a convincing 3-1 win against Everton last week.

The former Malaga manager will now face a Herculean task as he locks on with the Blues who boast of 100% record in the league.

Sarri came with an ambition to help Chelsea vaporize the old defensive culture to an elusive attacking style Pep Guardiola dreads.

No question about Sarri’s style as Hazard is enjoying a wonderful spell under the Italian boss, making him the leading top scorer after notching 5 goals to his tally.

The talisman was unused in yet another victory at PAOK on Thursday but will be poised to secure his position when they encounter the team whom they lost to last season.
