French young striker Ousmane Dembele who joined Barcelona from Monaco in the last summer transfer window might be heading to Chelsea ahead of next season as he is not assured of regular action in Valverde’s team.
The player, whose switch to Camp Nou cost the Blaugrana a whopping sum of €130million if all clauses in his contract are met, had a difficult start at the Spanish league giants as he was injured in his debut appearance for the La Liga former Champions but he’s back to full fitness. He was given a rare start on Saturday in Barcelona’s 6-1 thrashing of La Liga debutant Girona.
According to report via the El Gol Digital, the 20-year-old Frenchman is set for a loan in the summer as he wants a place where he could return to his initial blistering form which made Barca spend so much on his signature.
The El Gol Digital also suggest that Premier League could be his next destination and Chelsea are the favourite club to get the player’s service ahead of interested clubs which include Arsenal and Tottenham, Athletico Madrid and Manchester United.
It was earlier speculated that former Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who now plays for Arsenal, has advised Arsene Wenger to make an official approach to the player’s representative so as to convince the youngster to join the North London club ahead of other rivals.
