Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly charged the club’s scouting chief to keep a close watch on  Benfica’s 21-year-old winger, Andrija Zivkovic, and he the club have sent Luis Boa Morte to monitor the youngster’s progress with the Portuguese giants.

According to Record, Boa More — who is a Portugal-based scout —  had already watched Zivkovic played in seven different occasions but that seems not enough to Wenger who almost sign the winger in 2016 when he was playing for Partizan Belgrade.

Zivkovic is  the youngest players in the Serbian national team and he would be hoping he makes the cut as part of the players heading to the summer world cup which will Kick-start in two months time in Russia

In his first season at Benfica, Zivkovic played 24 matches, scoring one goal and creating 11 chances which were converted by his teammates. He has featured in 25 matches this season, scoring three goals and assisting five times in the process.

The young winger is yet to comment on the rumors linking him to Emirates stadium but he would surely love to play in one of the best clubs in Europe.

Isn’t it shocking when your former supporters become your greatest haters? That’s is the sorry case Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez currently finds himself.

The Chilean joined the Red Devils last month following a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the opposite team.

Since his switch to Old Trafford, the physical-imposing striker has lost his mojo as he has failed to light up the Premier League with goals.

After 25 matches, Sanchez has scored just three goals, making him one of the less-productive summer signings in the club’s history.

The Chilean was named in the starting lineup by Mourinho for their clash with Wolves, after missing out of action against Young Boys during the week.

Sanchez’s display could be easily summed up as a display without life, spark, hungry and determination. He was a flop and had to be substituted in the 63rd minute of the game.

Arsenal fans – who once hailed him during his days at the Emirates Stadium – took to Twitter to mock him.

Here are some of the best tweets from Arsenal supporters ;

“Alexis Sanchez is a championship player, he has passed his prime,” one fan angrily tweets via his Twitter handle.

“We realize he’s not useful, we sold him to Arsenal,” another Arsenal fan admit.

“deal of the century – Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United” another fan tweeted ironically.

Santi Cazorla

Arsenal legend Santi Cazorla, who plays for Villarreal after returning from his long-term injury, has revealed the reason behind Arsene Wenger’s inability to win many Premier League trophies during his 23-year spell at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Arsenal manager stayed 13 years without winning England’s most precious trophy before he parted ways with the team last season.

The last time Wenger lay hold on the English trophy was in 2004-05 season when he led his players to an unbeaten run to the title. Since then, the Gunners have always settled for a place in the top-four teams.

In his reaction to what was responsible for Wenger’s trophy drought, the 33-year-old midfielder told football Focus that the team lacked self-confidence.

According to the Spaniard, Wenger is a great coach but he didn’t believe in himself neither does he charge his players to trust in their ability to compete with top Premier League clubs for the title.

“To believe that we were capable of competing with the big sides in the Premier League and not just settling for third or fourth.” he said.

Having said that, Cazorla further calls on the Gunners faithful to be patient with Unai Emery’s team. He charged them to support the former Sevilla boss because he has all it takes to lead the team to greatness.

“But everyone really does have to be patient,” he said.

During his six years at the Emirates Stadium, Cazorla helped the Gunners to two FA Cup glories having played more than 200 matches with the team.

Unai Emery

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that he has no untouchables in his team.

It is believed that every manager has his preferred starting XI for every game, except there are unavoidable situations that might make them bring in one or two players into the first eleven.

As for Emery, that’s totally different as the Spaniard confess that choosing his first eleven always give him a headache.

When asked about his predicted first XI for the clash against Everton, the former Sevilla manager said he has no best players in the team because he gives everyone equal chance to show what they’re capable of.

Despite facing huge difficulty in naming his first eleven, Emery admits he’s happy that his players are making things too hard for him.

“And when I have this problem I am happy because it means many players are putting in good performances. I do not want to have or know a first eleven. I want 20 players who are performing.” he said

The Gunners are set for Everton’s challenge later today as they are hoping to record their fourth straight victory in the League.

Many fans predict that the North London club are not in the running for this season’s Premier League title but Emery is adamant his men stand a chance of winning a silverware just like any other club in the League.

According to Emery, it’s too early to write-off any team in the race for the League glory because there are more than 30 matches to play.

“It is 38 matches for the Premier League season. If it is us or if it is them, that is when we will find out who shows the most quality.” he concluded

He, however, vows that his men will take it one game at a time and see how far the would go in their mission for the season.

Serge Gnabry left the Gunners some seasons ago after failing to convince Arsene Wenger to give him much game-time on the pitch.

The 23-year-old was seen hanging out with Arsenal left-back Hector Bellerin on social media and Arsenal fans can’t wait to see the player re-joined the Gunners in January.
