Manchester United are hoping to reinforce their defensive capacity in the summer by adding another full-back during the next transfer period.
José Mourinho improved his team’s defence during last summer transfer window when he successfully made a sweep for Eric Bailly from Villarreal and Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
The former has been a great addition to the Old Trafford outfits as he seamlessly gained a starting berth in Mourinho’s squad while the latter has been a miss for the club.
The former Benfica star didn’t live up to expectations and he is now tipped to be moving out of the club, with Wolverhampton leading the race for his signature.
According to The Sun , Mourinho is ready to add Napoli defender Hysaj to his team after the Albanian’s impressive performance for the Naples in the just-concluded season.
According to the British media outlet, the Portuguese manager is ready to trigger the player’s release clause of 44 million pounds (€50million) in the summer.
Hysaj has featured in more than 100 matches for Napoli and Empoli since he moved to Serie A some years back.
With his experience and talent, the 24-year-old will definitely add more quality and ruggedness to the Red Devils defence line in the coming season.
He is also being tracked by Arsenal according to Daily Mail, who reported last night that Mislintant is currently having a discussion with the player’s representative.
Meanwhile, United and Holland defender Matteo Darmian could be on his way to Juventus as the Turin-based club remain favourite to land his signature in the summer.
