Poland and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is reportedly set to end his long-term stay at the Allianz Arena in the summer
The 150-goal poacher joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and has been one of the best strikers in the game in recent years but his time with the Bundesliga giants could be as good as over in the summer according to reports.
Chelsea and Real Madrid are the two clubs who are presently at loggerheads for the player’s signature as both clubs want the proven goalscorer to spearhead their respective attacking line in the 2018-19 season.
Real Madrid have a better chance of signing the Polish international in the summer, considering their recent exploits in the Champions League which have seen them won the trophy in two consecutive seasons
They are also on the verge of winning it for the third straight time, should they defeat Liverpool in the final match on the 26th of this month in Kiev.
Unlike Madrid, the Blues won’t take part in next season’s Champions League competition and that is a major setback in their race to sign Lewandowski in the summer.
The Sun also published the striker’s pictures alongside his representative Pini Zahavi in a discussion over his future. Only time will tell who would eventually win the race for his signature between Chelsea and Real Madrid.
