Manchester United manager José Mourinho was linked with CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandra Golovin in the winter transfer market but the Portuguese manager failed to capture his signature before the transaction period closed.
However, Manchester United are keen on the Russian young star, who would be looked upon by Russian fans to score many goals in the world cup, according to Inside Futbol.
Mourinho is satisfied with the player’s performance for CSKA Moscow during last season and he wants to hope to lure him to Old Trafford as part of his midfield’s reinforcement ahead of next season.
According to the sports website, Mourinho was in the stands during Russia-Austria game so as to monitor Golovin’s display throughout the encounter.
Though Golovin didn’t do too well during the encounter, Mourinho has reportedly told the Red Devils hierarchy to make move for the 22-year-old’s signature despite Juventus’ early interest.
The Serie A club are also eyeing a move to sign him this summer according to reports emanating from Turin.
The Old Lady have made an outrageous offer, which is reportedly beleived to be €81m, for them to beat the Red Devils to his signature.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring Golovin’s situation and have already sent their scouts to keep close tab on him throughout the world cup which starts in two days.
