Real Madrid now stand a better chance of signing Manchester United in the summer due to the relationship that exist between the Spaniard and Madrid’s newly appointed manager Lopetegui.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez confirmed via the club’s official website that they have reached an agreement with the Spain National team coach over the possibility of managing the European Champions after the summer World Cup.

However, Florentino’s announcement angered the Spanish Football Federation, who immediately sacked Lopetegui despite facing Portugal in two days time.

Having left Spain’s world cup camp, Lopetegui will immediately begin work at Santiago Bernabeu and he would be hoping to explore his relationship with De Gea in convincing the Red Devils goalkeeper to sign for the Santiago Bernabeu outfits ahead of next season.

In his bid to capture his signature, the manager has offered a whopping £100m deal to the Premier League giants, so as to release him after the World Cup.

According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Madrid are not willing to cool their interest in the player despite being rejected in previous transfer periods.

It remains unseen if United would once again reject the La Liga giants despite the speculated mouth-watering offer.

De Gea is presently preparing alongside his teammates ahead of their World Cup opener against Portugal on Friday.

The netminder would be solely relied upon by his teammates to prevent Cristiano Ronaldo and Andres Silva from finding the back of the net during the much-anticipated encounter.
