AC Milan playmaker, Suso is been linked with a departure from Italy this summer as Tottenham, Athletic Madrid and Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on the 24 -year-old.
Athletic Madrid initially appeared in pole position to swoop for the Cadiz homegrown product though the club interest in the midfielder appears to have cooled with the imminent signing of Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco.
The Frenchman who interestingly was a subject of interest from both aforementioned English clubs has agreed to a deal in principle with the Spanish capital club.
The news of the 22- year- old sudden capture by Diego Simeone could ironically be good news for both clubs as it gives them a free run in negotiating with Milan for a deal for Suso.
The Spaniard has rediscovered his form for the San Siro outfit and Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on further attacking reinforcements and is looking at the possibility of bringing the star back to Merseyside.
The Reds could face stiff competition from Tottenham with manager, Mauricio Pochettino also appearing keen on adding an attacking midfielder ahead of the 2018-2019 campaign which kicks off mid –August.
