Manchester United and other Premier League top clubs have been boosted in their race to sign Italian international winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports from Italy via Gazzetta Dello Sports.

The youngster is a natural winger but he’s also good at the center of the pitch. The player, who presently plays for Fiorentina, is being tracked by a host of European clubs due to his versatility and abilities to provide goalscoring chances for center forwards to poach into the net.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Napoli are all believed to be making move to lure the youngster to their respective clubs this summer.

However, the good news is that Fiorentina are ready to let go of the rising star this summer as they hope to make a huge profit from his sale.

According to Gazzetta Dello, the Serie A side have placed a £62m price tag on his signature — a price that looks too high for a young player, who is yet to gain any experience in the game.

Though the price tag is much lower and affordable than Antoine Griezmann or Gareth Bale’s price tag, it looks impossible for the Red Devils to release such steep amount in the summer.

Meanwhile, Manchester City, who are known for their free-spending capacities, might end up getting the youngster’s signature in coming weeks.

The Citizens are yet to sign any player in the ongoing transfer window but Chiesa might turn out to be their first acquisition.

Pep Guardiola is aiming to retain his Premier League title next season, therefore, there is a need for the manager to reinforce his team ahead of next season.
