Ed Woodward must double his speed to capture €100m-rated player after latest report

Sergej Milinkovic Savic

Manchester United might have to double their speed in their race to capture Serbian international Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Juventus seem to be leading the chase for his signature.

The Red Devils have shown their determination to capture the midfielder earlier in the month by making an official approach to Lazio’s representatives for his signature.

However, Mourinho could miss out on the player’s services ahead of the upcoming season as reports suggest that the Serbian international is happy over the report linking him with a move to Juventus, who are also set to battle the Red Devils for his signature.

The box-to-box midfielder is being tracked by Maximiliano Allegri who is hoping to bolster his team’s attacking strength before the 2018-19 commences.

According to Milinko-Savic in an interview with newsmen, it is a great feeling to be linked with a move to a great club like Juventus.

He revealed that he always smile whenever it crosses his mind that the Scuddeto Champions are interested in his service.

Though he’s happy about Juventus link, the player reiterate that he is fully focused on helping Serbia to the second round of the ongoing Russia 2018 World Cup tournament.

According to Tuttosport, Milinko-Savic is valued at €100m by Lazio and that seems too steep for a player who hasn’t make a name for himself.

Mourinho is impressed with this player’s attitude against Wolverhampton

Jose Mourinho

José Mourinho saw his team lost their lead to Wolverhampton Wanderers as they succumb to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Saturday.

With their impressive run of results, many pundits tipped the Red Devils to pick maximum points against the newly promoted Premier League side but things didn’t work out as thought.

Though the result and the player’s collective performance were nothing to write about, Mourinho has handpicked one player for praise.

The Portuguese manager believes former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred, who scored United’s only goal of the game, had a great game and he is getting used to the Premier League.

The Brazilian midfielder joined the Premier League giants for a deal which was said to have worth £52.7m in July but hasn’t been featuring regularly.

After starting the first two matches of the season, Fred was relegated to the substitute bench. Meanwhile, Matic’s suspension leaves Mourinho with no option but to start the Brazilian.

Fred was awesome in the early stages of the game and his efforts were rewarded in the 19th minute when his long-range shot found the bottom corner to put United ahead.

While speaking to MUTV after the game, Mourinho admitted he knows the player’s quality and capacity but Fred needs to learn Premier League’s playing style step by step.

The Portuguese manager said he’s glad about Fred’s display, which signifies that the Brazilian is getting used to the club’s philosophy.

“Step by step, when the team has the ball, he (Fred) has quality.” Mourinho told MUTV after the game.

Arsenal defeat unlucky Everton as Torreira gets his full Premier League debut

Lucas Torreira

Arsenal were able to record their fourth Premier League victory as they struggle to put two goals pass Everton goaltender Jordan Pickford.

The Gunners were unconvincing throughout the game but it took them two moments of brilliance to defeat the Toffees, who were unlucky not to get a goal in the first half of the game.

The Merseyside club were no doubt the best team in the opening period of the encounter but they were unable to beat Petr Cech who was wonderful between the sticks.

The Czech International has been under huge criticism since the start of the season but his display today will surely go a long way to silence his critics.

His heroics denied Everton’s summer signing Richarlison from getting into the score sheet.

Unai Emery’s men took the lead via Lacazette’s wonder striker in the second half.

Aubameyang added the second goal of the game to ensure that the Toffees have no chance of coming back into the encounter.

Meanwhile, summer signing Lucas Torreira finally made his full Premier League debut as he was named in the starting lineup by Unai Emery.

The 22-year-old midfielder replaced Matteo Guendouzi in the team and he didn’t disappoint as he helped the team to their first clean sheet of the season.

Arsenal News: Arsenal fans mock United star following his anonymous role against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ibukun Italoye

Isn’t it shocking when your former supporters become your greatest haters? That’s is the sorry case Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez currently finds himself.

The Chilean joined the Red Devils last month following a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the opposite team.

Since his switch to Old Trafford, the physical-imposing striker has lost his mojo as he has failed to light up the Premier League with goals.

After 25 matches, Sanchez has scored just three goals, making him one of the less-productive summer signings in the club’s history.

The Chilean was named in the starting lineup by Mourinho for their clash with Wolves, after missing out of action against Young Boys during the week.

Sanchez’s display could be easily summed up as a display without life, spark, hungry and determination. He was a flop and had to be substituted in the 63rd minute of the game.

Arsenal fans – who once hailed him during his days at the Emirates Stadium – took to Twitter to mock him.

Here are some of the best tweets from Arsenal supporters ;

“Alexis Sanchez is a championship player, he has passed his prime,” one fan angrily tweets via his Twitter handle.

“We realize he’s not useful, we sold him to Arsenal,” another Arsenal fan admit.

“deal of the century – Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United” another fan tweeted ironically.

Why this goal poacher must replace the botch legs of Giroud and Morata.

Mauro Icardi

Despite notching five consecutive victories and a single draw this season, Spanish forward Alvaro Morata had a diminutive share of contribution to the success of the Blues which perhaps could twist his focus to the exit door at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is not tentative with his top 9 choice in comparison between World Cup winner, Olivier Giroud and Morata.

The two times Champions league winner started earlier above Giroud in Sarri’s pecking order but was left on the bench in a plausible 4:1 victory against Cardiff City last week.

While Morata’s stay is doubtful, Chelsea would consider making a swoop for Inter Milan’s goal poacher Mauro Icardi who

Why Icardi?

The talismanic figure of the Seria A elite has seen his team to the champions league, stamping his trust by manager Sampaoli who made the 25-year-old club captain.

He endured a wonderful spell last season with his teammates when he added 29 goals to his tally. Inclusively, the Argentine forward was the major contributor in the champions league 2:1 victory against Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs.

Beyond being a prolific striker, the leather finisher has a Premier League character that best suits Sarri’s football.

If Chelsea decide to comb for a hitman, then they should consider a long-term target in Icardi, perhaps it will be noteworthy to break the bank to get his signature which is around £85.5 million.

Chelsea fans, do you think it will be awesome to add the Argentine to end Chelsea’s smirch in front of goal?
