David Luiz To Leave Chelsea As Rugani Nears Move
Chelsea are set to part way with the experienced defender David Luiz this summer as they are close to completing their move for Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani.
According to a report from Turin, the Blues have reached an agreement with the Old Lady for his signature and he is expected to complete his switch to Stamford Bridge in coming days.
The former Premier League Champions have been making moves to improve their squad ahead of next season, though, they are yet to decide who will be their next manager.
Antonio Conte is still at the helm of affairs but his future remains uncertain as Maurizio Sarri is heavily linked to replace him before the start of next season.
Meanwhile, David Luiz didn’t enjoy his stay at the west London club last season, he wasn’t on a good note with the Italian manager and reporters are suggesting he could be heading out of the club this summer.
Mourinho was sometimes linked with his service in January but it appears it was one of the mere speculations that shouldn’t be trusted.
Rugani, 23, is being a perfect defender for the Scudetto Champions throughout last season and he could be saying his goodbye to the team as his former coach – while he was at Empoli, Maurizio Sarri – is set to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
According to Sky Sports, the Blues are ready to pay £35m for his signature before the end of the week.
