Newcastle Sign Kenedy On Loan For The Second Consecutive Season
Newcastle have confirmed the signing of Chelsea young striker Kenedy on a season long-loan deal having seen the classy displays he put up for the team in his first loan spell last season.
The 22-year-old Brazilian striker was in fine form for the Magpies as his goals and assists helped the team avoid relegation.
The player is currently with the team as they prepare for their first pre-season match on Saturday. The St James’ park Outfits unveiled him to their fans on training ground when he penned a loan contract with the team.
He would be expected to lead Newcastle’s attacking frontline in the upcoming season but he must need to improve his goalscoring abilities if he must reach his full potentials and justify his tag as one of the best young strikers in the world.
While speaking during his unveiling ceremony, the 22-year-old thanked Rafa Benitez for coming back for his signature.
“I am so happy with this interest from Rafa Benítez, that he came back for me,” he said.
He further promise to continue from where he stopped when the next season begins in August.
As for Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez, he is happy to re-capture the player’s signature this summer.
According to the former Real Madrid and Liverpool manager, every Newcastle supporters are very glad to see the youngster return to St James Park ahead of next season. He is hopeful he maintains his topnotch form for his team in the coming season.
“Hopefully he can keep playing at the same level that he reached with us last season.” he concluded
