Arsenal Swoop In To Rival United And Tottenham For Ante Rebic.
Arsenal have signed five players at the current transfer market and reports claimed that the Gunners boss Unai Emery has shut the door on new signings.
The Gunners have completed the signing of three world-class class defenders while the other two signings are both defensive/holding midfielders —though, Torreira can play as an attacking midfielder.
Despite the acquisition of these players, Unai still needs to add one or two strikers to his team before the close of the ongoing transfer market in August.
However, the Spanish manager has joined United, Tottenham and Napoli in the race to capture Ante Rebic’s signature this summer.
German media outlet Sports Bild, which is known for its unbiased reports, claimed— last night— that the North London outfits are set to beat their Premier League rivals to the 24-year-old winger.
Rebic plays for German Side Frankfurt during last season where he scored six goals and also provided three assists after playing 25 League matches.
He is valued at €50m by his club and the Gunners are reportedly ready to meet the price tag as long as they would get his services to bolster the attack that already possesses Ozil, Lacazette, Welbeck, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang.
