Chelsea have reportedly won the race for Russia youngster Aleksandr Golovin as they have reached an agreement with CSKA Moscow.
According to BBC correspondent in Russia, the Blues have agreed to pay CSKA asking price so as to beat their rivals, who are also keen on luring him to their respective clubs ahead of next season.
The reporter further suggested that the 22-year-old will jet to West London tomorrow for his medicals.
Should he pass his medicals with the Blues tomorrow, he would be offered a new contract which will make him the second signing completed by Maurizio Sarri since he took over from Antonio Conte last week.
We reported here last night that Ligue 1 giants Monaco have joined the race for his services but that appears to be too late if the reports from BBC is anything to go by.
Arsenal are also one of the clubs vying to capture the Russian world cup star. The Gunners are hoping to add another playmaker to their team so as to complement Mesut Ozil at the middle of the park.
It is believed that Juventus are most likely to be his destination but with this affirmation from the BBC correspondent, Massimiliano Allegri will need to look elsewhere for the upgrade he is hoping to bring to his squad ahead of the coming season.
