Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom has finally joined Greek club PAOK after a long spell at the Emirates Stadium.
The youngster was part of the players who graduated from the Hale End academy during the 2013-14 season but he didn’t get regular game-time at the club despite his potentials.
He played just 12 matches during Arsene Wenger’s reign, though, he was made to spend most of his time on loan to other clubs by the Frenchman.
According to Greek media outlet Sport24, the Gunners have reached an agreement with the club and they are set to pocket €1m from the deal.
The media further reveals that the 22-year-old striker is having his medical as at the time of this report, therefore, PAOK could confirm his signature through their official page once he passed his medicals later today.
As part of the deal, the Gunners are going to receive some percentage from the Greek side if Akpom is sold to another club in the future. This is because there is a sell-on clause in the agreement between both parties.
PAOK seem to be a perfect place for the player to get his career back on track. The youngster must improve in his goalscoring attributes so as to get more action on the field of play in his new club.
However, Arsenal are yet to confirm Akpom’s departure, hopefully, they would do that before the day comes to a close.
