Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain has completed his loan move to the San Siro stadium this afternoon after passing his medical last night.
The proven goalscorer was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, who are ready to sign him on a permanent deal, but he choses to move to the Serie A side on a season-long loan deal.
The 30-year-old was believed to be heading to the Blues due to his relationship with Maurizio Sarri during his time at Napoli, but it was a surprise to pundits and fans when they heard that he preferred a move to AC Milan instead.
However, the player has finally revealed the reason behind his shocking move to Juventus’ rivals — the Rossoneri.
According to him during his unveiling ceremony, Chelsea board members are not eager to have him.
He claimed that only Maurizio Sarri wants him at Stamford Bridge and that isn’t good enough for a player who wants to succeed in a new environment.
Unlike Chelsea, AC manager; players, and board members are all happy to have him and they are all interested in him – that’s according to him.
Higuain is a great goal poacher and he was a big miss for the Blues, who are yet to get a true goalscoring striker.
During his stay at Juventus, he scored 55 goals after playing 105 matches. Having played goals in 147 matches for Napoli, the player scored 92 goals.
