Manchester United star Paul Pogba is in the transfer news once again as he is being linked with Barcelona’s switch.
The Frenchman – who is on vacation after helping France to their third world cup glory – is being tipped to make a shock move to Camp Nou this summer, according to the Daily Star.
The British media are claiming that the player’s agent Mino Raiola is in crunch talks with Barcelona to know his client’s chances of joining the Blaugrana before the end of the transaction period next week.
The manager reportedly approached the La Liga Champions and Ligue 1 Champions PSG to discuss with each club over the possibility of getting a move for the player during the last winter market.
Despite his time-to-time contact with the two European giants during last campaign, Pogba ended the season with the Red Devils as he couldn’t make his much-speculated move out of the Theater of Dreams.
The report also claimed that United are keen on receiving £100m from Barcelona, should they finally decide to partway with the Frenchman this summer.
Having displayed his skills and qualities with France during the 2018 FIFA World, it is unlikely to see Mourinho sanction his move away from the Theater of Dreams ahead of the 2018-19 season.
Though Pogba hasn’t justified the huge amount spent on him by the Red in 2016, he still remains an important figure in Mourinho’s team going into the season.
