England youngster Tammy Abraham is set to remain at Stamford Bridge this season after impressing Maurizio Sarri in the matches he played during the pre-season tour.
The young striker was awesome for the Blues against Lyon and AC Milan during the warm-up matches and that has influenced Sarri’s decision to keep him ahead of the upcoming season.
Tammy spent last season on loan at Swansea City but his stay at the club wasn’t as successful as he would have wanted. He could only score just eight goals after featuring in 39 matches for the Swans, who got relegated at the end of the campaign.
Though many Premier League clubs — including Southampton, West Ham and Cardiff — are interested in capturing him on a season-long loan, the Blues have rejected all offers for his signature as they are set to give him a leading role in the club’s attacking department when the 2018-19 season begins proper.
With only three competitive first-team appearances with the Blues, the player must improve in every aspect of his game during the upcoming season so as to get starting role in Sarri’s attacking setup.
Having said that, the 20-year-old is a deadly striker who can score goals aplenty as he has proven during his stay time at Championship side Bristol City, where he scored 26 goals in 48 matches in the 2016-17 season.
