After surprise prediction from Ladbrokes that Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil might join United in the coming transfer window in January, here is another surprise prediction from another bookmaker Betfair.
According to Betfair, Manchester United star player Anthony Martial could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium as soon as the transfer market reopens.
The bookmakers slashed a huge odd on the player’s chances of leaving Old Trafford for the North London club after being treated badly by José Mourinho and the club’s hierarchy.
It was reported last that the Frenchman man pulled out of contract talks with the club as he is yet to decide whether he wants to remain under José Mourinho, who has sparingly used him since the acquisition of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last season.
It was believed that Tottenham made a move to snatch the 22-year-old from the Theater of Dreams during the recent transfer period, however, Mauricio Pochettino could complete a deal for his signature due to Mourinho’s interest to have Danny Rose in return.
Martial joined United from Monaco four years ago but the Frenchman has enjoyed a relatively low success since Mourinho became the club’s manager.
Since the start of the season, Martial has only started a game for José Mourinho’s side and he is yet to open his goal account.
