I Have A Strange Feeling About Arsenal’s Future Without Wenger Says Former Player

Ibukun Italoye

Since Arsene Wenger left the Gunners in May, things haven’t been the same at the Emirates Stadium, that’s according to former Arsenal player Tomas Rosicky.

Truly, there have been tremendous changes to the Emirates stadium as there is a new manager, new tactics, new atmosphere, new players and new training methods.

Since the start of Unai Emery’s reign as Arsenal boss, many players have showered praise on the manager’s tactical approach and discipline, which they said ‘was far different from the Frenchman’s.

Last weekend witnessed the coming together of former Arsenal players at the Emirates Stadium as they battled former Real Madrid players.

Having played a 1-1 draw in the regulation time, Arsenal Legends defeated the Galacticos Legends via penalty shootouts to emerge this year’s Champions.

However, one of the Gunners Legends Tomas Rosicky, who played for the North London club for 10 years (2006- 2016), has revealed how he felt upon his return to the Emirates stadium.

According to him, it is strange for him to be at the club without speaking with Arsene Wenger. He said the whole former players were uncomfortable during the encounter due to the Frenchman’s absence.

“Is it weird to come here without Arsene Wenger? It is a little bit, I have to say. If you come here it’s not possible to not think about him.” he confessed.

Rosicky played 247 matches with the Gunners during his 10 years stay at Emirates Stadium.

EPL match day 6: Predictions and Analysis

premier league

So last week we add predictions right with 3 correct scores. Let’s see what we have for matchday 5

12:30 Fulham vs Watford

Watford would want to come back from the defeat against United when they face Fulham but with the way Fulham plays their possessive football, there is no sign of losing this. I think there will be goals.

Predictions: Both Teams will score
Probable score: 2:2

15:00 Burnley vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth have started well under Howe which is why the manager is the long-term serving boss since coming from the Championship.
They really know how to stay compact and ready for the counter. I still think Burnley will lose this game because they don’t seem to have that cohesion as they did last season.

Prediction: Away Win
Probable score: 1:3

15:00 Cardiff City vs Man City
There is no doubt City side will win this to make amends from the howler of Wednesday’s demolition from Lyon. I feel for Warnock here but surely, a win for Pep Guardiola.

Prediction: Away win and Over 2.5 goals.
Probable score: 1:4

15:00 Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
The Eagles have shown how difficult they are to beat when their star player Wilfred Zaha is in-form. Rafael Benitez’s men always appear so hard to beat as well so a draw will be fine here.

Prediction: Draw
Probable score: 1:1

15:00 Leicester City vs Huddersfield
No way will Leicester lose this after the mayhem last week against the Cherries.
Playing against a team who look like would not escape relegation will see them get the much needed three points.

Prediction: Home Win
Probable score: 2:1

15:00 Liverpool vs Southampton
I think this would be a very easy win for the Meyerside and I don’t see Southampton stopping them from getting the first goal in the first half. The Reds are just too good this season.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

15:00 Manchester United vs Wolverhampton
Mourinho got his grip since he lost recklessly to Tottenham. He’s answered his fans with great wins so far. Albeit Nuno will never settle for a team to have them play behind the ball. They are very direct so I expect United to get a win with their conservative football.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

17:30 Brighton vs Tottenham
Pochettino’s men are really struggling but do I think they will struggle against Brighton who won them last season? No. They have to come out and play like what they are known for.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 1:2

13:30 West Ham vs Chelsea

A derby day and a delight to watch. We saw how West Ham parked the bus last season to get a 1:0 Win here but this season they may pay for it if they do so under Sarri’s style of football. A win will do for the league leaders.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 0:2

16:00 Arsenal vs Everton
Arsenal has been impressive so far but are yet to keep clean sheets while Everton’s Richarlison will come back from suspension. Both clubs are yet to keep Clean sheet, it will not be different when they play.

Prediction: Both teams will score
Probable odd: 2:2

“Start him over Xhaka,” “just what we need after Cazorla” – Arsenal praise this senior man after Vorskla’s victory

Lucas Torreira

Arsenal recorded their fourth straight victory of the season, though, the latest one is coming from a Europa League fixture.

Unai Emery, who created a Europa League record last night, must be a happy man as he led his side to an impressive 4-2 win over their Ukrainian counterparts at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Two goals from Aubameyang and a goal from Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil were all that was needed by the Gunners to open their Europa League campaign on a perfect note.

Though Aubameyang scored a brace, his performance didn’t catch the eyes of Arsenal fans. It was Lucas Torreira — who was making his first start under Unai Emery — that got the Gunners faithful talking throughout the game.

The fans were glad to have gotten the 22-year-old midfielder into their team during the summer transfer window.

The North London fans were optimistic the Uruguayan player is their next Santi Cazorla, whose career was shattered by his lengthy.

The club’s supporters took to Twitter to shower praise on the Uruguayan young and physically-fit player.

The Mantis said, via his Twitter account, that the midfielder was bossing the midfielder with just 15 minutes into the game.

Another fan couldn’t help but profess his love for the player, claiming ‘he’s the next Santi Cazorla’

According to another fan, ‘He really does have a bit of Cazorla in him’

Truly the player has been awesome for the team so far but he looked uncomfortable at some time in the game. He must have picked up a slight knock.

What’s next for this nimble-footed youngster after a man-of-the-match performance against Vorskla

Alex Iwobi

We analyzed here yesterday that Arsenal young striker/winger Alex Iwobi need to perform to his best against Vorskla Poltava so as to clear Emery’s doubt about his qualities.

Luckily for the 22-year-old Nigeria international, yesterday’s game further highlights his qualities and his importance to the team as he was wonderful on and off the ball.

His off-the-ball movements were nothing short of brilliance, while the way he committed his opponents were far from what we used to see from his usual play as they were awesome.

With his wonderful performance against Vorskla, the question is what’s next for the nimble-footed winger?

Unai Emery seems to have his regular first-team setup already and it might take some time to see him change his squad because no manager changes a winning team.

Iwobi started the first two game of the season which ended in defeat to the North London club. He was later dropped to the bench in subsequent matches and the team have been victorious in all the games without the player.

Lacazette, Ozil and Aubameyang have made the attacking positions their own, leaving Welbeck, Mkhitaryan and Iwobi to compete for a place at the flank.

Painfully, after such an amazing performance, Alex Iwobi could find himself return to the substitute bench on Sunday when the Gunners tackle Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal 4 – 2 Vorskla : Important lessons learnt from the Gunners victory

Ibukun Italoye

The Gunners are still celebrating their victory over their Ukrainian opponents in their Europa League encounter last night.

The Gunners put four goals past Vorskla Poltava, while, Bernd Leno, who was making his debut appearance for the club, conceded two goals which turned out to be a mere consolation.

There were many positives to bring out of the game but here are just lessons learnt from the encounter.

Torreira needs to be starting under Unai Emery

Arsenal fans have been hoping to see Torreira in the club’s starting XI since his blistering display against Chelsea in the second game of the season, but their calls weren’t heard by Emery who prefers Matteo Guendouzi ahead of the Uruguay international.

The Spanish tactician eventually gave the midfielder the chance to play from the start and he was wonderful throughout the game. His positional awareness and defensive ability were wonderful.

Just as thought by the Gunners faithful, it is high time he takes his due position in the starting lineup.

Emery’s mission to help Aubameyang was accomplished

After five matches, the Gabonese striker could manage just a goal which is unacceptable for a player of his qualities.

Emery believes the former Borussia Dortmund player needs to regain his confidence by scoring goals.

To help him regain his self-confidence, Emery started the player in a game that could have been executed by fringe members of the team.

The gaffer’s mission to help Auba return to goalscoring form was accomplished as the player scored two great goals.

With this goals, the Gabonese striker is reportedly ready to light up the Premier League with many goals for the rest of the campaign.
