Search For Ramsey’s Replacement Begins As Unai Emery Targets Porto Star

Unai Emery

Aaron Ramsey is in the final year of his current contract with the Gunners and Unai Emery has told his employers to ensure they retain the Wales international beyond this season.

Despite showing interest to tie him down for another long spell, the club’s Sporting director Sven Mislintant is yet to get a breakthrough in his discussion with the Welshman.

Having failed to get a positive response from the player as regards to a new contract, Emery is set to make move for Porto midfielder Hector Herrera as the perfect replacement for Ramsey, who is being tracked by Serie A side AC Milan.

According to Sky Sports this morning, the 28-year-old midfielder is getting interest from the Spanish tactician due to his exploits for the Portuguese club during the previous football calendar.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery faces huge competition from Real Madrid manager Julien Lopetegui, who is keenly interested in making move for the impressive holding midfielder.

The former Spain national team coach looks like a great threat to Emery’s chances of getting the player, this is because he shares healthy relationships with Herrera during his time at Porto.

However, another British media outlet the Mirror are suggesting that Arsenal might pull out of the race for Herrera’s signature, should Ramsey accept their new contract offer before the end of this year.

“Bring him back” — Arsenal fans want this player back in January

Ibukun Italoye

Aubameyang training

Serge Gnabry left the Gunners some seasons ago after failing to convince Arsene Wenger to give him much game-time on the pitch.

The German youngster showed great promises during his time at the Emirates Stadium but he wasn’t rated by the former manager Arsene Wenger, who only used him in 18 matches before selling him out to Weder Bremen.

Gnabry has since returned to form and he’s being one of the best performers for Bayern Munich so far this season.

The 23-year-old was seen hanging out with Arsenal left-back Hector Bellerin on social media and Arsenal fans can’t wait to see the player re-joined the Gunners in January.

Having seen the picture of both players via Bellerin’s verified Instagram account, the Gunners faithful are calling on their Spanish defender to talk to the German young striker to sign with the Gunners once more.

Here is the summary of their posts on Instagram.

One fan advised Bellerin to ensure the impressive player return back to the Emirates stadium as he posted ‘Bring him back.’

Another fan couldn’t hide his sadness the player’s transfer as he posted “gutted for seeing him (Gnabry) leave the Emirates Stadium’

Finally, another supporter believes Arsenal is the player’s home, therefore, it is time to ‘bring him back home’.

This why Arsenal must get this £27m-rated winger ASAP!

Arsenal fans are upbeat about the future, having recorded three wins from five games.

The off-field events happening at the Emirates Stadium is another reason for the club’s faithful joyous mood.

During the week, the Gunners finally confirmed that their long-term CEO Ivan Gazidis would be leaving the club for AC Milan next month and that was a great news for the Gunners fans, who believes the club will now spend big during transfer markets under Stan Kroenke.

Though things are going smoothly for the North London club at the moment, Unai Emery needs to get this player as soon as the January transfer market reopens.

Croatian winger Ante Rebic is the player that’s desperately needed at the Emirates Stadium, should Emery desire to make perfect use of his right wing in the second half of the season.

The 24-year-old is a quality crosser of the ball and that would benefit Lacazette and Aubameyang.

The player’s ability to run at defender and make them commit fouls is another character needed by Emery in his team to succeed.

Henrikh Mktaryan, Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi are all great wingers but none of them possesses the ability to bully defenders like Rebic.

The Frankfurt star scored nine goals throughout last season despite playing from the flanks. Though that wasn’t a great stats but none of the Gunners wingers was able to achieve such feat throughout last season.

It remains unknown if the Bundesliga side are ready to release the player in the coming transaction period.

EPL match day 6: Predictions and Analysis

premier league

So last week we add predictions right with 3 correct scores. Let’s see what we have for matchday 5

12:30 Fulham vs Watford

Watford would want to come back from the defeat against United when they face Fulham but with the way Fulham plays their possessive football, there is no sign of losing this. I think there will be goals.

Predictions: Both Teams will score
Probable score: 2:2

15:00 Burnley vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth have started well under Howe which is why the manager is the long-term serving boss since coming from the Championship.
They really know how to stay compact and ready for the counter. I still think Burnley will lose this game because they don’t seem to have that cohesion as they did last season.

Prediction: Away Win
Probable score: 1:3

15:00 Cardiff City vs Man City
There is no doubt City side will win this to make amends from the howler of Wednesday’s demolition from Lyon. I feel for Warnock here but surely, a win for Pep Guardiola.

Prediction: Away win and Over 2.5 goals.
Probable score: 1:4

15:00 Crystal Palace vs Newcastle
The Eagles have shown how difficult they are to beat when their star player Wilfred Zaha is in-form. Rafael Benitez’s men always appear so hard to beat as well so a draw will be fine here.

Prediction: Draw
Probable score: 1:1

15:00 Leicester City vs Huddersfield
No way will Leicester lose this after the mayhem last week against the Cherries.
Playing against a team who look like would not escape relegation will see them get the much needed three points.

Prediction: Home Win
Probable score: 2:1

15:00 Liverpool vs Southampton
I think this would be a very easy win for the Meyerside and I don’t see Southampton stopping them from getting the first goal in the first half. The Reds are just too good this season.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

15:00 Manchester United vs Wolverhampton
Mourinho got his grip since he lost recklessly to Tottenham. He’s answered his fans with great wins so far. Albeit Nuno will never settle for a team to have them play behind the ball. They are very direct so I expect United to get a win with their conservative football.

Prediction: Home win
Probable score: 2:0

17:30 Brighton vs Tottenham
Pochettino’s men are really struggling but do I think they will struggle against Brighton who won them last season? No. They have to come out and play like what they are known for.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 1:2

13:30 West Ham vs Chelsea

A derby day and a delight to watch. We saw how West Ham parked the bus last season to get a 1:0 Win here but this season they may pay for it if they do so under Sarri’s style of football. A win will do for the league leaders.

Prediction: Away win
Probable score: 0:2

16:00 Arsenal vs Everton
Arsenal has been impressive so far but are yet to keep clean sheets while Everton’s Richarlison will come back from suspension. Both clubs are yet to keep Clean sheet, it will not be different when they play.

Prediction: Both teams will score
Probable odd: 2:2

Anthony Martial to Arsenal; how will the Gunners Line up with the Frenchman

Ibukun Italoye

Anthony Martial

Arsenal are keenly interested in United’s star player Anthony Martial as reports claimed that Unai Emery is willing to lure the Frenchman to the Emirates stadium in the next transfer window.

Though Emery has many wingers in his team, the former Sevilla manager believes there is need to have at least two players in each position.

It was reported in August that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is equally interested in the 22-year-old, Emery is set to beat his North London rivals to the player’s signature.

How will the Frenchman add more quality to the Gunners starting lineup, should he eventually join the North London club in January.

As a right winger

Anthony Martial is a player with a lot of space and great shot accuracy, so, he could be deployed at the right wing of attack.

His inclusion to the position would surely be an upgrade to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who hasn’t really impressed since he joined the Gunners from Manchester United Last season.

As a left winger

As much as the former Monaco man isn’t a natural left-footed player, he could be deployed at the left flank of attack.

This means Unai Emery might have to drop Mkhitaryan from the starting lineup so as to push either Aubameyang or Lacazette to the right flank while the Frenchman operates from the left.

Martial could be tested as the main striker, though, that hasn’t been his favourite playing position.

His impressive goalscoring ratio is so alarming that Emery could give him a look-in at the centre forward position as see how he performs.
