European champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey ahead of the next transfer window in the New Year.
According to Team Talk, the Spanish La Liga giants are the latest club to show an interest in the Welsh international.
Other interested clubs include Italian Serie A giants AC Milan and the Premier League trio of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Ramsey, 27, is presently in a contract standoff with the Gunners and could possibly leave the club either for a sizeable transfer fee during the January transfer window or for free in the summer.
The former Cardiff City star has a year left on his current Arsenal contract and his representatives had been in talks over a contract extension until last week when the North Londoners withdrew their offer as a result of his huge financial demands.
Aaron Ramsey was offered a ‘double your money’ offer by the Gunners only for him to reject in favour of a better salary package that would match that of the club’s highest earner Mesut Ozil.
The retired German international is reportedly earning £350,000 on a weekly basis after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract in February.
